SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Louis I. Resetich of Moline, who passed
4away on July 10, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Louis Resetich was born in East Moline to Ignatius
6and Jennie O'Korn Resetich on January 18, 1924; he served in
7the United States Navy during World War II and married Edna M.
8Geiger in Rock Island on November 11, 1950; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Louis Resetich worked at Alcoa in Davenport, Iowa
10for over 33 years, retiring as unit supervisor in 1982; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Louis Resetich was a 70-year member and past
12President of the Slovenian National Benefit Society and the
13Alcoa Retirees Club; he enjoyed fishing, camping, and the
14Holiday Rambler RV Club; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Louis Resetich married Verna Woolley in 1995; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Louis Resetich was preceded in death by his first
17wife, Edna, and his brother, Albert Resetich; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Louis Resetich is survived by his wife, Verna, and
19her family; his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dwain

1Burkemper and Kathleen and Steve Mathias; his grandchildren,
2Sharon and Bryce Radke, Andrew and Jennifer Burkemper,
3Christopher and Lindsay Mathias, and Brian and Emily Mathias;
4his great-grandchildren, Olivia and Grace Burkemper, Cora,
5Nate, and Lucas Mathias, and Molly and Kate Mathias; and his
6brother and sister-in-law, John and Marilyn Resetich, and their
7family; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Louis I. Resetich, and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Louis Resetich as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
