| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Edward Mauer of McHenry, who passed away | 4 | | on June 18, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Edward Mauer was born on December 11, 1939 in | 6 | | Algoma, Wisconsin; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Edward Mauer entered the United States Marine | 8 | | Corps right after high school and served from 1957 to 1962 at | 9 | | Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and Camp Pendleton in | 10 | | California; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Edward Mauer worked for the ARA Vending Company in | 12 | | Chicago as an electrical field engineer, repairing vending | 13 | | equipment for 10 years; he later worked for Complete Vending | 14 | | Service in St. Charles for 35 years; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Edward Mauer was a charter member of the McHenry | 16 | | Marine Corps League and actively served as adjutant for three | 17 | | years; he enjoyed participating in the organization's | 18 | | programs, especially Toys for Tots; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Edward Mauer loved to fish, camp, and boat on the | 20 | | Chain of Lakes; after his retirement, he enjoyed traveling and |

| 1 | | camping with his wife in their motorhome; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Edward Mauer is survived by his loving wife of 50 | 3 | | years, Janice; his beloved daughters, Michelle (John) Wilson | 4 | | and Jennifer (David) Pocs; his grandchildren, Chloe and | 5 | | Gabrielle Wilson and Elena, Sofia, and Larsen Pocs; his sister, | 6 | | Edith Stiehl; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 10 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Edward Mauer; and be | 11 | | it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Edward Mauer as an expression of our | 14 | | sympathy.
