SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth Ray Lamb of Greenfield, who passed away on June 25, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Lamb was born on July 29, 1956 at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton; his parents were Robert D. and Netta LaVern Lamb; he married Lissa Linn on February 28, 1976 in Carrollton; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Lamb was a lifelong resident of Greenfield; he graduated from Greenfield High School in 1974; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Lamb worked for the family business, Bob Lamb Company, Inc., before he graduated from high school; he eventually became the owner and operator of the company; he enjoyed working there with his parents, children, other family members, and his employees, who were also his close friends; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Lamb was the president of Woodbine Country Club for many years; he was a member of the Greenfield Tiger Backers and served as a grill master for its fundraisers; he was also a member of the St. Michael's Men's Club and the Grain and Feed Association; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Lamb was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, hunting for mushrooms, golfing, and spending time on the lake with his family and friends; he also loved classic cars and enjoyed driving his convertibles in local parades; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Lamb was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Lamb is survived by his wife, Lissa; his sons, Jake (Beth), Luke, and Thad (Rachel); his daughter, Abby (Randy) Schnettgoecke; his grandchildren, Maizee, Adalinn, Avery, London, Sophie, Sawyer, Fallyn, and Farrah Lamb and Halley, Clay, Landry, and Maeve Schnettgoecke; his brothers, Robert J. Lamb and Eric (Lesta) Lamb; and his sister, Melissa (Tom) Pantier; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth Ray Lamb; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Lamb as an expression of our sympathy.
