SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harold Charles Blaser of Reynolds, who
4passed away on June 20, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Blaser was born on October 31, 1927 in
6Taylor Ridge; his parents were Harry and Annie Blaser; he
7married Margie Sackville on May 2, 1948 in Hamlet; she preceded
8him in death on September 9, 1982; he married Ann Gregory on
9June 29, 1984 in Ecorse, Michigan; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Harold Blaser proudly served his country in the
11United States Navy during World War II; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Harold Blaser farmed his entire life and raised
13purebred Hereford cattle since 1948; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Harold Blaser was a member of Hamlet Presbyterian
15Church, the Rock Island County Farm Bureau, the Illinois and
16American Hereford Associations, and Reynolds American Legion
17Post 1166; he also served as director of the Rock Island Soil
18and Water Conservation District; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Harold Blaser was preceded in death by his first
20wife, Margie; his parents; his grandsons, Josh, Brady, and

1Logan Blaser; and his sisters, Evelyn Carlson and Arlene
2Nussbaum; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Harold Blaser is survived by his wife, Ann; his
4children and their spouses, Anita Gorden, Blair (Sara) Blaser,
5Lisa Blaser, and Brad (Penny) Blaser; his stepchildren, P.
6Wendell (Denise) Gregory, Marlene Gregory, and Charlene (Dave)
7Waid; his grandchildren, Angie, Jessica, Cody, Bailey, Abby,
8and Thomas; his seven step-grandchildren; and his
9step-great-grandchild; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Harold Charles Blaser;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Harold Blaser as an expression of
16our sympathy.
