SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Leonard Szczesny of Villa Park, who passed away on June 1, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Szczesny was born on September 26, 1924; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Szczesny is the beloved husband of Ruth; the loving father of Jim (Cyndi) and Judith (Daniel) McClughen; the cherished grandfather of Aaron Szczesny, Carrie Ann Szczesny, Emilie (Bo) Totten, Daniel (Marie) McClughen, Mark (Paula) McClughen, and Zachary McClughen; the adored great-grandfather of Tex Totten and Samantha McClughen; the brother of Marion (the late Theodore) Marcis, Evelyn (the late Allon) MacAlister, and the late Esther (James) Marten; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Leonard Szczesny; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Leonard Szczesny as an expression of our sympathy.
