SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William L. "Bill" Chance of East Moline, who passed away on May 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, William Chance was born in Moline to Charles Jr. and Gladys Lair Chance on May 8, 1945; he served with the United States Air Force and married Patsy Eaton at 1st Christian Church in Moline on November 20, 1965; and

WHEREAS, William Chance was a co-owner of the former Zypco Incorporated in Moline; he previously worked at the John M. Fry Company in Moline in the sales department; he retired from the Connor Company in East Moline; and

WHEREAS, William Chance was a lifetime member of the Moline Jaycees and was a former member of the Moline Breakfast Optimist Club; he was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed his therapy on the Isle of Capri; he was a mall walker and never met a stranger; and

WHEREAS, William Chance is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat; his daughter, Kimberly Chance; his granddaughter, Terrie Rae Chance; his sisters, Sandra Brown and Velinda (Michael) Johnson; and his brothers, James (Barbara) Chance, James (Ann) Sullivan Jr., and Francis Sullivan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William L. "Bill" Chance, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Chance as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
