SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William L. "Bill" Chance of East Moline,
4who passed away on May 30, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Chance was born in Moline to Charles Jr.
6and Gladys Lair Chance on May 8, 1945; he served with the
7United States Air Force and married Patsy Eaton at 1st
8Christian Church in Moline on November 20, 1965; and
 
9    WHEREAS, William Chance was a co-owner of the former Zypco
10Incorporated in Moline; he previously worked at the John M. Fry
11Company in Moline in the sales department; he retired from the
12Connor Company in East Moline; and
 
13    WHEREAS, William Chance was a lifetime member of the Moline
14Jaycees and was a former member of the Moline Breakfast
15Optimist Club; he was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed
16his therapy on the Isle of Capri; he was a mall walker and
17never met a stranger; and
 
18    WHEREAS, William Chance is survived by his wife of 50
19years, Pat; his daughter, Kimberly Chance; his granddaughter,
20Terrie Rae Chance; his sisters, Sandra Brown and Velinda
21(Michael) Johnson; and his brothers, James (Barbara) Chance,

3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5William L. "Bill" Chance, and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of William Chance as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
