SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel Joseph Doherty of Chicago, who passed away at the age of 90; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Doherty was a native of Clonmany, Donegal, Ireland; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Doherty was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen (McDonagh) Doherty; the loving father of Maureen (John) Osborne, Brian (Rose), William (Karen), Daniel (Laura), Edward C.F.D. (Gina), Thomas (Anastasia), Eileen (Greg Stanecki), the late Peggy, and the late Kevin Doherty; the proud papa of 17; the great-grandfather of three; and the dear brother of Eugene, William, Peggy, Mary, Maeliosa, Teresa, and the late George, Hugh, Bridget, and Edward; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Daniel Joseph Doherty, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Daniel Doherty as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
