SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas E. Low of McHenry, who passed away on April 7, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Low was born in Woodstock to Frank and Helen (Kilday) Low on December 2, 1947; he served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970 and as a member of the Air Force Academy Drum and Bugle Corps; he married Sue Conway on August 15, 1981; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Low was a member of the McHenry Viscounts Drum and Bugle Corp from 1958 to 1965; he was past President of the McHenry Chamber of Commerce and past member of the McHenry Kiwanis; he served on Fiesta Days Board of Directors and was a member of Committee At Large; he was a recipient of the Joe Thome Award for outstanding service to Fiesta Days and was honored with the Frank E. Low Award for outstanding community service in 2015; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Low was an avid golfer who loved the game, the competition, and the many great friends he made through playing; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Low was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Low is survived by his wife, Sue; his daughter, Bethany (Steve) Murgatroyd; his sons, Jason and Jaime Low; his brothers, Mike (Pam) Low, Tim (Judy) Low, and Kelly (Carole) Low; his uncle, Ed Lay; his beloved dogs, George and Gracie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Thomas E. Low, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Low as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
