SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas E. Low of McHenry, who passed away
4on April 7, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Low was born in Woodstock to Frank and
6Helen (Kilday) Low on December 2, 1947; he served in the United
7States Air Force from 1966 to 1970 and as a member of the Air
8Force Academy Drum and Bugle Corps; he married Sue Conway on
9August 15, 1981; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Thomas Low was a member of the McHenry Viscounts
11Drum and Bugle Corp from 1958 to 1965; he was past President of
12the McHenry Chamber of Commerce and past member of the McHenry
13Kiwanis; he served on Fiesta Days Board of Directors and was a
14member of Committee At Large; he was a recipient of the Joe
15Thome Award for outstanding service to Fiesta Days and was
16honored with the Frank E. Low Award for outstanding community
17service in 2015; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Thomas Low was an avid golfer who loved the game,
19the competition, and the many great friends he made through
20playing; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Thomas Low was preceded in death by his parents;

2    WHEREAS, Thomas Low is survived by his wife, Sue; his
3daughter, Bethany (Steve) Murgatroyd; his sons, Jason and Jaime
4Low; his brothers, Mike (Pam) Low, Tim (Judy) Low, and Kelly
5(Carole) Low; his uncle, Ed Lay; his beloved dogs, George and
6Gracie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Thomas E. Low, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Thomas Low as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
