SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Tiara Michelle Parks, who passed away on April 23, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Tiara Parks was born on August 5, 1992 to Michael and Loretta Parks; and

WHEREAS, Tiara Parks attended Chicago International Charter School-Longwood Academy from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 2010; she attended college at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and Coyne College, where she earned her degree in the Medical Assistant Program; and

WHEREAS, Tiara Parks will be remembered fondly as an intelligent and very ambitious person who loved her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Tiara Parks is survived by her son, Jordyn, and his father, Berto Mora; her parents; her brother, Derrick (Latasha) Smith; her nieces, Jada, Janiya, and Jakayln; her nephew, Jordan; her paternal grandmother, Arwildia Parks; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Tiara Michelle Parks; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tiara Parks as an expression of our sympathy.
