SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert F. Harmon, Jr. of Milan, who passed away on April 10, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Robert Harmon, Jr. was born in Chicago to Robert and Florence (Patterson) Harmon, Sr. on April 19, 1930; he married Barbara Tobin in Moline on October 21, 1951; he served in the United States Navy; and

WHEREAS, Robert Harmon, Jr. was employed in the shipping and receiving department at Alcoa for 42 years, retiring in July of 1992; and

WHEREAS, Robert Harmon, Jr. is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara; his children, Robbi Schlitz, Gary Harmon, Craig (Sheryl) Harmon, Keith Harmon, and Neil Harmon; his 9 grandchildren; and his 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert F. Harmon, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Harmon, Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
