SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald R. Warlop of Moline, who passed away on April 2, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Donald Warlop was born on January 16, 1926 in East Moline; his parents were Firman and Alida Warlop; he married Delores Glowacki on October 28, 1950 in Davenport, Iowa; and

WHEREAS, Donald Warlop served in the United States Navy during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Donald Warlop retired from Sears Roebuck in Moline in 1981 after 35 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Donald Warlop was a member of Sacred Heart Church, where he was an Usher, a Funeral Acolyte, and one of the first Eucharistic Ministers; he was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters Sacred Heart Court 1691 and the Friends Circle Club and a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 109; and

WHEREAS, Donald Warlop enjoyed dancing, woodworking, gardening, playing rolle bolle, and golf; and

WHEREAS, Donald Warlop was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Joan Warlop; his 2 sisters; and his brother; and

WHEREAS, Donald Warlop is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Delores; his children, James Warlop, Gary Warlop, Susan Warlop, and William (Karen) Warlop; his grandchildren, Paul Warlop, Tylor (Shannon) Warlop, Aaron Warlop, and Blake Warlop; and his great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Payton Warlop; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald R. Warlop; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Warlop as an expression of our sympathy.
