SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel P. Kelley of Skokie, who passed away on February 23, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Kelley was born on September 19, 1918; he was a decorated veteran, serving with the United States Army during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Kelley retired as an insurance producer and underwriter after many years of service; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Kelley was the first Mayor of the City of Hometown; he also served as an Alderman of Country Club Hills; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Kelley was the beloved husband of Mary Anna (Kubicek) and the late Eleanor (Wittl); the dear father of Kathleen (Michael) Gradl and Kenneth (Susan), David (Nelda), Paul, Brian (Patricia), and Brice (Becky) Kelley; the loving grandfather of 24; the cherished great-grandfather of 42; the dear great-great-grandfather of 2; and the fond brother of the late Richard P. Kelley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Daniel P. Kelley; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Daniel Kelley as an expression of our sympathy.
