SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Oren Keith Sass of East Moline, who passed away on February 19, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Oren Sass was born on April 8, 1930 in North Liberty, Iowa; his parents were Lawrence and Irma Giehiemer Sass; he married Nora B. M. Henson on September 2, 1972 in Moline; and

WHEREAS, Oren Sass was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict; and

WHEREAS, Oren Sass was first employed in Iowa City by a Ford dealership as a mechanic for 28 years; he then went on to work at Longmont United Hospital in Colorado for 14 years; and

WHEREAS, Oren Sass enjoyed traveling; and

WHEREAS, Oren Sass is survived by his wife, Nora; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Oren Keith Sass; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Oren Sass as an expression of our sympathy.
