SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jean Ellen Haldeman of Harvard, who passed away on February 15, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Jean Haldeman was born on August 31, 1936 in Freeport; her parents were Luther C. and Alice M. (nee Maiden) Mueller; she married Jerry Haldeman on June 13, 1959 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard; and

WHEREAS, Jean Haldeman was an elementary school teacher who taught at Jefferson Elementary School and St. Joseph Catholic School in Harvard; and

WHEREAS, Jean Haldeman was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; and

WHEREAS, Jean Haldeman enjoyed sewing and cross stitching; and

WHEREAS, Jean Haldeman was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Jean Haldeman is survived by her husband, Jerry; her children, Jeff Haldeman and Julie (Gordon) Davis; her grandson, Michael Dickey; and her brother, David Mueller; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Jean Ellen Haldeman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jean Haldeman as an expression of our sympathy.
