SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lawrence L. "Larry" Minor of Moline, who passed away on February 15, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor was born in Clinton, Iowa to Warren and Mary "Madge" (nee Pinter) Minor; he served in the United States Army; he married Ruth "Cookie" Langdon in Rock Island on December 28, 1962; he later married Linda Serres in East Moline on June 26, 1977; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor owned Bucky's in Moline and managed the Old Oaks Steak House in Milan; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor enjoyed golfing and family poker games; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor is survived by his children, Shawnae (Shawn) Van Alsburg, Stephanie (Brian) Haezebroeck, Jason (Christie) Minor, Lindsey (Don) Moore, Zach (Angie) Minor, Buddy (Erin) Minor, Brittany (Kevin) Olson, Tanner (Leah) Minor, and Trevor Minor; his 19 grandchildren; his 1 great-grandson; and his brothers, Wayne (Lil) Minor and Doug (Lisa) Minor; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lawrence L. "Larry" Minor, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lawrence Minor as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
