SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Cornelious C. "Neil" Boldt of East
4Moline, who passed away on February 14, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cornelious Boldt was born in Davenport, Iowa to
6Clifford and Thelma Murphy Boldt on November 14, 1938; he
7served in the United States Army and married Susan Hartman in
8Davenport on November 30, 1963; he later married Marsha Hogg
9Tertipes in Davenport on September 13, 1985; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Cornelious Boldt was a member of Millwright Local
11Union 2158, where he served as a union conductor, retiring
12after 45 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Cornelious Boldt was a member of Christ the King
14Catholic Church in Moline; he was also a member of Bettendorf
15American Legion Post 154 and the Moose Lodge in Davenport,
16Iowa; he was very giving and enjoyed volunteering for Habitat
17for Humanity; he was also a frequent blood donor for the
18Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Cornelious Boldt was preceded in death by his
20parents; his brother, Michael G. Boldt; and his sister-in-law,
21Sharon Boldt; and

1    WHEREAS, Cornelious Boldt is survived by his loving wife,
2Marsha; his children, Suzanne (Kevin) Eggert, Christine
3(Stephen) Cross, Leanne Tertipes, and David (Jennifer)
4Tertipes; his 6 grandchildren, Ellen, Abigail, and Nathaniel
5Cross, Gabrielle "GiGi" and Eve Tertipes, and Kayla (Dan)
6Lerminez; his 2 sisters, Edna (Donald) Tudehope and Ginger
7(Jim) Kaucher; his brother, James (Marilyn) Boldt; and his
8sister-in-law, Vicki Boldt; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Cornelious C. "Neil" Boldt, and extend our sincere condolences
12to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Cornelious Boldt as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
