SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Virgil L. "Bob" Eubanks of Port Byron, who passed away on February 11, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Virgil Eubanks was born in Marshalltown, Iowa to Glen and Lucille Eubanks on October 15, 1937; he served in the United States Navy and married Betty Ann; he later married Ann Margaret Beeson in Texas on December 5, 1991; and

WHEREAS, Virgil Eubanks worked as a fork lift operator for General Motors for 30 years, retiring on July 6, 1990; and

WHEREAS, Virgil Eubanks enjoyed traveling and digging for gold; he loved to watch NASCAR, motocross racing, and boxing; he especially loved old country music and spending time with his family, and his dog, Baxter; and

WHEREAS, Virgil Eubanks was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Vicky; and 3 siblings; and

WHEREAS, Virgil Eubanks is survived by his loving wife, Ann; his children, Dale (Paula) Eubanks and Cynthia Eubanks; his 8 grandchildren; his many great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Pat, Dean, Willey, and Ivy; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Virgil L. "Bob" Eubanks, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Virgil Eubanks as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
