SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rachel Dean Ronen of Litchfield, who passed away on January 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen was born on January 4, 1923 in Decatur; her parents were Harry and Helen (nee Joynt) Hill; she married Daniel Vernon Ronen on May 10, 1942 in Old Monroe, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen was a homemaker; she also worked at Mohr Value in Litchfield for several years; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield, where she participated in St. Anne's Society; she also served as a South Litchfield Township Trustee and as an election judge for several years; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel; and her sister, Crystal Hill Lawler; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen is survived by her sons, Daniel H. (Vickie) Ronen and Dennis S. (Andrea) Ronen; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Sean) Walker, Jill (Gary) Huddlestun, David (Shonda) Ronen, and Sarah Ronen (fiance, Bill Mabrey); and her great-grandchildren, Rayna and Kyrsten Spencer, Daxton and Deklan Ronen, and Lilly Mabrey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Rachel Dean Ronen; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rachel Ronen as an expression of our sympathy.
