SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Hector "Tony" DeKezel of Moline, who passed away on January 25, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel was born on September 5, 1917 in Moline; his parents were Theophil and Marie DuPont DeKezel; he married Marie Callant on May 3, 1941 in Moline; and

WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel served in the United States Army during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel retired from John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline after 37 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Moline Community Center, CASI, Quad City Plus 60, and John Deere Union Local 865; and

WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel enjoyed traveling, dancing, and playing cards; and

WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, and his son, James; and

WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel is survived by his grandchildren, Brian, James, Jr. (Allison), and Jessica (Chad) Finch; his daughter-in-law, Kathy; and his 8 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Hector "Tony" DeKezel; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Hector DeKezel as an expression of our sympathy.
