SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Raleigh S. Francois of Creve Coeur, who passed away on January 4, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Raleigh Francois was born on February 15, 1963 in Moline; his parents were Joseph and Phyllis Smith Francois; and

WHEREAS, Raleigh Francois served his country as a member of the United States Navy aboard the USS Saratoga; and

WHEREAS, Raleigh Francois was a union carpenter who worked in the Peoria area; and

WHEREAS, Raleigh Francois was preceded in death by his father; his niece, Kimberly Marie DeCock; and his nephew, Jason Theuninck; and

WHEREAS, Raleigh Francois is survived by his mother, Phyllis Francois; his sisters, Jeanna (Tracy) Rushing, Linda (Jim) DeCock, Keri (Skip) Cramond, and Melissa (Tim) Ott; his brothers, Joseph (Jan) Francois, Patrick Francois, and Todd Francois; his special companion, Stephanie Probasco; and his numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Raleigh S. Francois; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raleigh Francois as an expression of our sympathy.
