SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of David E. Wilson of Taylor Ridge, who
4passed away on January 10, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Wilson was born in Moline on November 5,
61947 to Robert V. and Janet McQuady Wilson; he married Suzanne
7Rieger in May of 1972; and
 
8    WHEREAS, David Wilson served in the United States Navy for
94 years aboard the USS Cromwell before enlisting in the United
10States Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of Staff
11Sergeant; he retired from the Marine Corps in April of 1988,
12after 20 years of military service; he was very proud of his
13military service; and
 
14    WHEREAS, David Wilson worked as an EMT with Trinity
15Ambulance and for Enterprise Car Rental; he was also a
16volunteer EMT with the Andalusia Ambulance Service; and
 
17    WHEREAS, David Wilson was a member of the Edgington
18Evangelical Presbyterian Church, serving the church in many
19capacities; he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling; and
 
20    WHEREAS, David Wilson was preceded in death by his father,

1Robert; his stepfather, Harris Jack; and his
2step-brother-in-law, C. Richard Harrison; and
 
3    WHEREAS, David Wilson is survived by his mother, Janet
4Jack; his daughter, Wendy (James) Bond; his brother, Keith
5(Debra) Wilson; his stepsister, Carol Harrison; and his
6stepbrothers, Richard (Marlo) Jack and the Rev. Duane Jack;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10David E. Wilson, and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of David Wilson as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
