SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Steven Craig Zarske of Rock Island, who passed away on November 22, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Steven Zarske was born in Galesburg on January 7, 1947 to Newland and Carol Zarske; he served in the United States Air Force and married Bonnie Hornback on December 6, 1970; and

WHEREAS, Steven Zarske was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls and enjoyed spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Steven Zarske is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie; his daughters, Tina Harris, Autumn Dzekunskas, Carol (Christopher) Lester, and Stephanie Zarske; his grandchildren, Wesley, Jacob, Courtney, Melissa, Brandon, Nathan, Natalie, Drew, Jaida, Bryce, and Blake; his great-grandson, Karter; his sister, Nancy (Tom) Gawthrop; and his brother, Tom (Robbie) Zarske; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Steven Craig Zarske, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Steven Zarske as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
