SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marshall Edward Martel of East Moline,
4who passed away on November 18, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marshall Martel was born on April 22, 1948 in
6Stockton, California; his parents were Paul E. and Porfiria
7(nee Moreno) Martel; he married Pamela K. Gustafson Davis on
8March 17, 1973 in Rock Island; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Marshall Martel retired in 2009 as a draftsman for
10City Blueprint in Moline; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Marshall Martel served as a member of the United
12States Army during the Vietnam War; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Marshall Martel enjoyed spending time with his
14grandchildren, riding his Harley, traveling, golf, Motown
15music, and coaching and watching his children play baseball and
16softball; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Marshall Martel is survived by his children,
18Melissa (David) Turner, Nicole (Scott) Mueller, and Joshua
19(Tara) Martel; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, Victoria,
20Cody, Kamden, Taylor, Natalie, and Joshua; his

1great-grandchildren, Bella, Skylar, Jaxxon, and Landon; and
2his siblings, Andrew Martel, Daniel Martel, James Martel,
3Joseph (Pat) Martel, Stanley Martel, Matthew Martel, Paul
4(Susan) Martel, Anita (Terry) Burke, and Micah Martel;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Marshall Edward
9Martel; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Marshall Martel as an expression of
12our sympathy.
