SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James H. Clark of Colona, who passed away on November 15, 2015; and

WHEREAS, James Clark was born on November 26, 1944 in Atlantic City, New Jersey; his parents were James H. and Mildred (nee Ludwig) Clark; he married Marguerite A. Bantya on July 29, 1967 in New Jersey; and

WHEREAS, After graduating from high school, James Clark joined the United States Coast Guard, where he proudly served for 30 years in numerous locations; he also served in the Army Corps of Engineers in Rock Island for 18 years; and

WHEREAS, James Clark collected light houses; he enjoyed working around the house and riding his motorcycle; and

WHEREAS, James Clark was preceded in death by his parents and his brother; and

WHEREAS, James Clark is survived by his wife, Marguerite; his daughter, Julie (Paul) Dodds; his son, Joshua Clark; his granddaughters, Katlyn Pierce and Christine Clark; and his sisters, Judith Glick and Joanna Idler; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of James H. Clark; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Clark as an expression of our sympathy.
