SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lester E. White of Rock Island, who passed away on November 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Lester White was born on June 27, 1956 in Moline; his parents were Richmond and Mary Jo (nee Weber) White; he married Christyne Dzekunskas on January 7, 1978 in Orion; and

WHEREAS, Lester White was a United States Air Force veteran; he also served with the National Guard; and

WHEREAS, Lester White retired from the Rock Island National Cemetery after 33 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Lester White was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church, the QC Missing Persons Network, and Scott's Tennessee Battery Civil War Reenactors; he enjoyed reading, attending Iowa Hawkeyes Wrestling events, attending auctions, and spending time with his grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Lester White was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Lester White is survived by his wife, Christyne; his daughters, Mellissa (Michael) Hendrickx, Megan White, and Ashleigh White; his grandchildren, Nathan, Madison, Cloe, Zane, Mason, Joseph, and Brylee; his sisters, Penny (Ed) Peterson and Carol Schoening; his brother, Kenneth White; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Lester E. White; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lester White as an expression of our sympathy.
