SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Clarabelle "Clara" Mann of Decatur, who passed away on November 5, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Clara Mann was born in Shelby County on February 27, 1936 to William and Waunitta M. (nee Landers) Lane; she graduated from Cowden Community High School in 1954 and married Bobbie G. Mann on September 29, 1973; and

WHEREAS, Clara Mann was the Decatur Township Supervisor for 3 terms; she was a member of the Democratic Party of Macon County and the Township Officials of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Clara Mann was preceded in death by her parents and her 2 brothers; and

WHEREAS, Clara Mann is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bobbie; her son, Scott A. (Michelle) Muth; her 2 stepchildren, Scott Mann and Jennifer Mann; her granddaughter, Heather M. (Paul) Hodges; her step-granddaughter, Lindsey Reidel; her 2 great-granddaughters, Presley and Elle Hodges; and her caregivers, Tammy Butler and Bobbie Jean Schaal; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Clarabelle "Clara" Mann, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Clara Mann as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
