SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary L. Whiteman of Springfield, who passed away on October 18, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Mary Whiteman was born on December 17, 1928 in Decatur; her parents were Harry J. and Eva Iolene (nee Hinton) Severns; she married Norman Vaughn Whiteman on March 22, 1946 in Decatur; and

WHEREAS, Mary Whiteman was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Norman; and

WHEREAS, Mary Whiteman is survived by her children, Lynette (Nelson) Mosley and Vaughn (fiancee, Rosemary Burger-Erickson) Whiteman, and her grandchildren, Tracy (David) Prosser, Erin (Kevin) Nowlan, Kari Whiteman, Brok Whiteman, and Paige Whiteman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Mary L. Whiteman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Whiteman as an expression of our sympathy.
