SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald Fackler, formerly of East Moline, who passed away on October 12, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Donald Fackler was born in DeKalb on November 11, 1931 to Theodore and Ruth Fackler; he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War; he married Barbara Young on September 12, 1954 at Watertown Baptist Church in East Moline; and

WHEREAS, Donald Fackler worked for Amatak in East Moline until its closing; he also worked for International Harvester in East Moline as a tool grinder, retiring in 1994; and

WHEREAS, Donald Fackler was a Master Mason and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite; a favorite pastime of his was fishing; and

WHEREAS, Donald Fackler was preceded in death by his parents and his 8 brothers and sisters; and

WHEREAS, Donald Fackler is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son, Donald (Vicki) Fackler, Jr.; his grandson, Chad Fackler; his granddaughter, Melissa Fackler; and his sister, Phyllis (Ron) Boysea; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donald Fackler, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Fackler as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
