SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Spiros J. Pappaspiros of Moline, who passed away on October 3, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros was born in East Moline on September 15, 1933 to James and Louise Vyhnanek Mpachiakos; he served in the United States Navy and married Carol J. Barr on November 4, 1956 in San Diego; and

WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros was an accountant at the John Deere Foundry in East Moline, retiring in 1987 after 21 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros enjoyed playing golf and going to breakfast with his United Township High School classmates; and

WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol; his sister-in-law, Marcia Stevenson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Spiros J. Pappaspiros, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Spiros Pappaspiros as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
