SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lemuel Wiggins, who passed away on September 28, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Lemuel Wiggins was born on December 29, 1929 in Shreveport, Louisiana; his parents were Leroy and Myrtis (nee Faulkner) Wiggins, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Lemuel Wiggins served as a member of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Lemuel Wiggins was employed at the United States Postal Service in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Lemuel Wiggins was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Selma Lee Wiggins and Mary Garcia; and his brother, Leroy Wiggins, Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Lemuel Wiggins is survived by his sister, Ruth Mae Garrett; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Lemuel Wiggins; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lemuel Wiggins as an expression of our sympathy.
