SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Barry Laroy Swanson, who passed away on September 16, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Barry Swanson was born on January 16, 1964; his parents were John L. Swanson and Betty Jo Fagan; and

WHEREAS, Barry Swanson received Christ at an early age and was educated in the Chicago Public School system; and

WHEREAS, Barry Swanson was a loyal employee of the Merchandise Mart in Chicago for many years as a dock worker; and

WHEREAS, Barry Swanson enjoyed bowling, dancing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Barry Swanson was preceded in death by his father; and

WHEREAS, Barry Swanson is survived by his mother; his sister, Jodi (Anthony); his daughters, Francine (Joshua), Tatiana, and Shantell; his sons, Johnell, Terrell, Dezmond, D'Ante, Martrell, and Travell; his special nephews, AJay and Kendrick; his 11 grandchildren; his special grand-nephew; his long-time companion, Tawaina; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Barry Laroy Swanson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barry Swanson as an expression of our sympathy.
