SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lonnie Burns Hargis of Moline, who passed away on September 21, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Lonnie Hargis was born on March 8, 1937 in Wood River; his parents were Judson Burns and Louise Greenling Hargis; and

WHEREAS, Lonnie Hargis proudly served in the United States Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, Lonnie Hargis worked as a welder for Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 25 for many years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Lonnie Burns Hargis; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lonnie Hargis as an expression of our sympathy.
