SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James D. Pierson of Silvis, who passed away on September 20, 2015; and

WHEREAS, James Pierson was born on September 15, 1943 in Goldsboro, North Carolina; his parents were William and Sarah White Pierson; he married Ann Shields on February 14, 2014 in Rock Island; and

WHEREAS, James Pierson served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, James Pierson was employed as a heating and air conditioning repairman in the Quad Cities area for many years; and

WHEREAS, James Pierson was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sue Barefoot; and

WHEREAS, James Pierson is survived by his loving wife, Ann; his daughter, Cassandra Pierson; his grandson, Zachary; his brother, David Pierson; and his loving chihuahua, Chi Chi; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of James D. Pierson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Pierson as an expression of our sympathy.
