SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael Richard Alcorn, who passed away on September 15, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Michael Alcorn was born on July 28, 1973 in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Michael Alcorn served his country in the United States Army from 1991 to 1993; during his service, he was deployed to Panama and served as a scout; and

WHEREAS, Michael Alcorn was employed at the Illinois Department of Revenue for many years; and

WHEREAS, Michael Alcorn was an enormously talented musician and artist who collected guitars, drums, and other objects of interest; he was also a member of the Abe Lincoln Gun Club; and

WHEREAS, Michael Alcorn is survived by his parents, Richard Alcorn and Rosario Amon; his sisters, Rose Alcorn and Kathleen Alcorn (Bernie Segatto); his brother, Bill Alcorn; his many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his dog, Churchill; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael Richard Alcorn; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Alcorn as an expression of our sympathy.
