SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
55 ILCS 82/25

    Amends the Neutral Site Custody Exchange Funding Act. Provides that records kept by not-for-profit organizations receiving a grant under the act shall be made available for inspection by personnel employed by the office of the Presiding or Chief Judge (currently, by the office of the Chief Judge). Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning local government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Neutral Site Custody Exchange Funding Act is
5amended by changing Section 25 as follows:
 
6    (55 ILCS 82/25)
7    Sec. 25. Rules.
8    (a) The county board in a county in which a neutral site
9custody exchange fund has been established shall make rules
10pertaining to the operation and standards to be adhered to by a
11not-for-profit organization in that county in order to qualify
12for a grant under Section 20. The rules shall provide for the
13following:
14        (1) All work performed by the not-for-profit
15    organization, its staff, and volunteers shall be performed
16    without collecting a fee or charge from the parties
17    involved in a custody exchange.
18        (2) Each not-for-profit organization receiving a grant
19    under this Act shall maintain records as required by the
20    county board. The records shall be available for inspection
21    by personnel employed by the office of the Presiding or
22    Chief Judge and shall demonstrate adherence to applicable
23    requirements.

1    (b) The county board in a county in which a neutral site
2custody exchange fund has been established may make additional
3rules necessary for the operation of this Act in that county.

5    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
6becoming law.
