HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to recognize Baron, a member of the Warrenville Police Department K-9 response team, on his retirement on December 12, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Baron started his career on the streets on June 1, 2010; during his years of service, he placed second in yearly certification events 4 times; and

WHEREAS, During his career, Baron has searched buildings, cars, and individuals in the search for drugs, counting over 600 such searches during his career; he has located over 8 pounds of marijuana, 4 kilos of cocaine and crack, and 1 ounce of heroin; he was also responsible for 3 suspect captures in Warrenville and surrounding communities; and

WHEREAS, Baron has received numerous department citations for his hard work and was recognized by the Drug Enforcement Administration for his assistance with a seizure of 1,400 pounds of marijuana; and

WHEREAS, Baron, along with his partner, Officer Bellinger, are members of the F.I.A.T. K-9 response team; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Baron on a job well done and honor him for his years of successful police work and for being an asset to the Warrenville community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Officer Bellinger on the behalf of Baron, as a symbol of our respect.
