HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Harrisburg High School Head Baseball Coach Jay Thompson on his 700th career win; and

WHEREAS, Coach Thompson achieved this milestone with a 9-3 victory over Herrin High School; and

WHEREAS, Coach Thompson's career at Harrisburg High School began in 1981 through 2003; he returned in 2005 and 2006 and again in 2009 through the present; and

WHEREAS, In Coach Thompson's 29-year career, he has achieved a record of 700 wins and 204 losses; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Harrisburg High School Head Baseball Coach Jay Thompson on his 700th career win and we wish him many more successful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Thompson as an expression of our esteem and respect.
