HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Harrisburg Middle School volleyball team, the Bulldogs, on winning the 2015 Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association Class L State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Bulldogs claimed the championship with a 3-set victory over Murphysboro at Pinckneyville High School; and

WHEREAS, The Bulldogs compiled a record of 26 wins and 2 losses on their way to the championship; and

WHEREAS, The Bulldogs are Shianne Barker, Ivy Brown, Devin Butler, Karsyn Davis, Josie Drone, Alli Ferrell, Paige Gulley, Savannah Hubbs, Mackenzie Marshall, Abbie Riden, Madeline Rider, and Annabella Robinson; and

WHEREAS, The Bulldogs are coached by Heather Cox and the assistant coach is Beverly Alvey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Harrisburg Middle School volleyball team, the Bulldogs, on winning the 2015 Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association Class L State Championship and we wish them many more years of success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Bulldogs as an expression of our esteem and respect.
