HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Colette M. Kubiesa on the occasion of her retirement from the Elmhurst Park District Board of Park Commissioners; and

WHEREAS, Colette Kubiesa was first elected to the Elmhurst Park District Board of Commissioners in 1997 and served for 18 years until her retirement on April 22, 2015; and

WHEREAS, During Colette Kubiesa's tenure as a Park Commissioner, she held the offices of President and Vice-President of the Board; she also served on the Elmhurst Art Museum Board and on several committees; and

WHEREAS, Colette Kubiesa was instrumental in helping the Elmhurst Park District in promoting and attaining several initiatives that saw the park district grow and receive both State and national recognition for its operations and sustainabilty; and

WHEREAS, In 2013, Colette Kubiesa was recognized by the Illinois Association of Park Districts as its Commissioner of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Colette Kubiesa has given countless hours to the park district and recreation movement in Elmhurst and the State; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Colette M. Kubiesa on her retirement from the Elmhurst Park District Board of Park Commissioners and wish her the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Colette Kubiesa as an expression of our esteem and respect.
