1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Illinois Math and
4 Science Academy (IMSA) in Aurora on being named the second-best
5 public school in the country for 2017; and

6     WHEREAS, The website, Niche, compiles data to create
7 profiles and rankings of schools, colleges, and places to live;
8 the public school rankings were based on data from the United
9 States Department of Education; and

10     WHEREAS, IMSA is a selective residential high school that
11 draws students from across the State; and

12     WHEREAS, Niche also listed IMSA as the second-best high
13 school in the country for science, technology, engineering, and
14 math; therefore, be it

15     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 congratulate the Illinois Math and Science Academy on being
18 named the second-best public school in the country for 2017;
19 and be it further

20     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
