HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Dave Ziegenbein on 25 years in the ministry; and

WHEREAS, Dave Ziegenbein took a missionary trip to Hong Kong in 1989; he graduated from Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln in 1991; he took his first ministry job at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Raymond and delivered his first sermon on October 13, 1991; and

WHEREAS, Dave Ziegenbein has been a very active minister; he and many church members have worked in Mexico, Haiti, Indonesia, and Africa; they have also ministered across the United States; and

WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Dave Ziegenbein, Pleasant Hill Christian Church has seen tremendous growth in all areas; in 1999, ground was broken and construction began on the present sanctuary, classrooms, nursery, lobby, and offices; in the following years, property was purchased to make additional space available to hold youth and churchwide activities; 15 acres of farm land was purchased for further development; and

WHEREAS, Dave Ziegenbein and his wife, Margaret, have two children, Jordan and Mallory; he has served on the Raymond Library Board, and currently serves with the Raymond-Harvel Community Fund; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Dave Ziegenbein on 25 years in the ministry and we wish him many more wonderful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dave Ziegenbein as an expression of our esteem and respect.
