HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of William H. Windler of Irvington, who passed away on May 16, 2016; and

WHEREAS, William Windler was born in New Minden to William F. and Emilie Hanke Windler on December 29, 1940; and

WHEREAS, William Windler worked as a farmer; he was also owner of Windler Auction Service and worked at Lampe Construction; and

WHEREAS, William Windler served as the Washington County Treasurer for 24 years, as Police Chief in Irvington, and on the Washington County Fair Board and the Irvington School Board; and

WHEREAS, William Windler was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Irvington Ruritan Club, and the Washington County Extension Foundation; he was active in the Men's Club and the Historical Society; he sang in the choir and was a 4H leader for many years; and

WHEREAS, William Windler dedicated his life to his faith, family, and community; and

WHEREAS, William Windler was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Janet M. (Lampe); and

WHEREAS, William Windler is survived by his daughters, Karen (Michael) Berry, Christine (Scott) Bevil, and Beth (Sean) Ballatini; his 6 grandchildren; his brother, Dennis (Trudy) Windler; his sister, Marilyn (Glen) Edwards; and his brother-in-law, Patrick (Anita) Lampe; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William H. Windler, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Windler as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
