HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the members of the Xtreme Dance Company on the occasion of the grand opening of their new Dance Center; and

WHEREAS, The Xtreme Dance Company is a highly competitive dance company with performances ranging from ages five to 19 that perform and compete in all dance styles throughout the Chicagoland area, including national events; the company was founded in the fall of 2002 and is based in Naperville, with members who are also from surrounding towns; and

WHEREAS, The Xtreme Dance Force has an extraordinary list of achievements; they were recently featured as a top finalist on MTV's hit show "America's Best Dance Crew" and featured twice as a main role in the Emmy Award-winning MTV reality show, "MADE"; they have appeared on "So You Think You Can Dance" and "The Wade Robson Project"; they were also invited to perform with the Black Eyed Peas on the Holiday Season Special episode of Oprah; and

WHEREAS, Xtreme Dance Force alumni have gone on to dance professionally; they have appeared in motion pictures, videos, commercials, and as backup dancers for popular entertainers; they have gone on to dance on major college dance teams and dance at Disney venues and cruise ships; Xtreme Dancers have danced for Lady GaGa, Britney Spears, Jason Derulo, Lil Wayne, and Justin Bieber, and have performed as opening acts for Ludacris, Soulja Boy, Ciara, Chingy, Bow Wow, Twista, Mims, and Lupe Fiasco; some have even turned into successful actors and models; and

WHEREAS, The Xtreme Dance Force was rated one of the top five dance companies in the country by "Dance Spirit Magazine" and has won the Starpower World Victory Cup of Dance nine times; they have also won numerous regional and national entertainment and choreography awards; and

WHEREAS, The Xtreme Dance Company will hold its Grand Opening for the new Xtreme Dance Center on May 29, 2016; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Xtreme Dance Company serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Xtreme Dance Company on the occasion of the grand opening of their new Dance Center and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Xtreme Dance Company founder Samuel Renzetti as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
