HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. Ed Hamming on the occasion of his retirement after 35 years of service in private practice in Gurnee, Lake Forest, and Lindenhurst; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ed Hamming is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and member of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ed Hamming began private practice in Gurnee in 1981; he joined the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in 2000; he is currently in practice with seven physicians, including his sons, Dr. David and Dr. Mark Hamming; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ed Hamming is a great lover of sports and the outdoors; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ed Hamming is a family man and the husband of 44 years to Dr. Nancy Hamming; he is also the father of three and the grandfather of five; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Ed Hamming is a valued and highly respected member of the community and a well-loved doctor who has skillfully and compassionately treated generations of family members from their infants to their 100 year old grandparents; he is considered irreplaceable by his vast number of patients in Lake County and his patients and staff will miss his smiling face, kind eyes, and skilled hands; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Dr. Ed Hamming on the occasion of his retirement and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Ed Hamming as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
