AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. If and only if House Bill 4025 of the 99th General Assembly, as enrolled, becomes law, then House Bill 4025 of the 99th General Assembly is amended by replacing line 19 on page 4 with the following:

"of history of the United States and American government and, beginning with pupils entering the 9th grade in the 2016-2017 school year and each school year thereafter,"; and

immediately below line 4, on page 6, by inserting the following:

"(09900HB4025enr, Sec. 99 new)

Sec. 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July 1, 2016.".

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
