SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Phyllis Russell, nee Mullins, of Plainfield, who passed away on January 20, 2011; and

WHEREAS, She was born November 8, 1930 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Russell; and her brother, John Mullins; and

WHEREAS, Mary Russell was the dear mother of Kathleen (Charlie) Krikorian, Joanne (Sava) Basic, and Susanne (Jim) Sutphen; she was the cherished grandmother of Allie Krikorian, Sava (Megan) Basic, Mihajlo (Caty) Basic, Tyler, Rachel, and Jake Sutphen; she was the beloved great-grandmother of Brianna Basic; and she was the fond aunt of Pamela (David) Panozzo, Rosemary, Michael, and Nicholas Mullins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary Russell; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Russell as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
