SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Thomas Bauer, the Chief of Police in Wyoming, Illinois, who passed away on August 6, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Chief Bauer had previously served the Henry, Princeton, and Sheffield Police Departments in a part-time capacity; and

WHEREAS, Chief Bauer is survived by his wife, his 2 sons, his daughter, his sister, his father, and his grandparents; and

WHEREAS, Chief Bauer dedicated and gave his life to protect and serve the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Chief William Thomas Bauer; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chief William Bauer as an expression of our sympathy.
