SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Slover of Peoria Heights, who passed away on March 31, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Robert Slover was born on February 13, 1954, in Burlington, Iowa; his parents were Richard W. and Viola A. Simons Slover; and

WHEREAS, Robert Slover worked at ICC for many years; during his retirement, he was active in teaching certification classes for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America; and

WHEREAS, Robert Slover was active in volunteering with WTVP 47; he also served as secretary of the Peoria County Democratic Central Committee; and

WHEREAS, Robert Slover was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Robert Slover is survived by his sister, Katherine (Phillip) Addy; his brother, Kevin (Lori) Slover; and his numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert "Bob" Slover; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Slover as an expression of our sympathy.
