SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Alice Mullery of Gurnee, who passed away on March 13, 2011; and

WHEREAS, She was born August 1, 1960 in Waukegan and was a lifelong Lake County resident; she graduated from North Chicago Community High School and attended the College of Lake County; and

WHEREAS, She worked as a manager for Hospira after having worked for more than 15 years for Abbott Laboratories; and

WHEREAS, She loved to travel with a special place in her heart for Ireland, the home of her ancestors and is mourned by family there as well as her family in Lake County; she was also an avid gardener and her yard a place of beauty and peace where family and friends were always welcome; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her father, John Mullery; and

WHEREAS, Mary Alice Mullery is survived by her daughter, Julia Mullery; her mother, Virginia Mullery; her sisters, Margaret (Jim) Kutzler and Catherine (Rob) Mongeau; her brothers, Edward Mullery and Patrick (Camile) Mullery; and her nieces and nephews, Anthony and Alex Kutzler, Trevor and Jacqueline Mongeau, Alisha Mullery and Kenny Paugel, with all of whom she had a special relationship; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary Alice Mullery; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Alice Mullery as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
