HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Midshipman John
4Matthew Pacocha of Elmwood Park on his graduation from the
5United States Naval Academy; and
 
6    WHEREAS, He will graduate from the United States Naval
7Academy on May 29, 2012 with a degree in Systems Engineering;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, John is the son of John and Susan Pacocha of
10Elmwood Park; and
 
11    WHEREAS, During his Second Class year he held a squad
12leader position in 13th Company; as a Firstie, he was the
13Company Physical Mission Officer for the first semester and is
14currently the Company Training Officer; and
 
15    WHEREAS, During his Youngster summer he spent 4 weeks in
16San Diego on a fast attack submarine and 3 weeks on a 44 foot
17sailboat out of Annapolis; he then began to focus his attention
18on the United States Marine Corps; and
 
19    WHEREAS, His Second Class summer was also spent in San
20Diego, spent on PROTRAMID (professional training of

1midshipman); for his First Class summer he spent a month in
2Quantico, Virginia, taking part in Leatherneck, a preparatory
3training exercise designed to give Marine Corps hopefuls a
4taste of life as a Marine; and
 
5    WHEREAS, After his time at Quantico, he returned to
6Annapolis to become a First Set Detailer during plebe summer
7for the Class of 2015; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He is a member of the Semper Fi Society and got
9his first choice for service selection as Marine Corps Ground;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we congratulate John Pacocha on his graduation and wish him the
14best in his future endeavors; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to John Pacocha as a symbol of our respect and
17esteem.
